Notice of Race – Tammany Yacht Club’s Two Against The Lake

Invitation & Eligibility

You are cordially invited to race in Tammany Yacht Club’s
Two Against The Lake Race, to be held on March 29, 2025. This event is open to boats with a
PHRF rating.

Rules

The 2025-2085 Racing Rules of Sailing as published by World Sailing and adopted
by U.S. Sailing shall govern this regatta, except as may be modified by the sailing instructions,
and any applicable class rules.

Saturday, March 290700 – 0800 hrsShore-side Registration with coffee and donuts for competitors
0900 – 0930 hrsRegistration on the water
0955 hrsFirst warning signal
1000 hrsStart of race

Fleets

PHRF: Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, and Multi-Hull. Class breaks will be defined at the Skippers Meeting.

Autopilots

Autopilots will be allowed in all Fleets and Classes.

Scoring

The Race shall be scored using GYA-PHRF Ratings.

Prizes

Prize awards are TBD and will depend upon the number of entries. We will attempt
to continue the traditional prizes awarded in this event, i.e.

  • Spinnaker Class
  • Non-Spinnaker Class
  • the J.J. Hickey Award
  • 1st TYC boat to finish
  • 1st Multi-hull to finish
  • 1st Husband/Wife team
  • 1st Parent/Child
  • 1st Female team
  • 1st Century-Plus Team whose aggregate age exceeds 125 years

Entry Fee

$50.00. Entry fee deadline is 09:30 hrs Saturday, March 29.

Registration

Online registration will be available at www.TammanyYachtClub.org. If you do not register on-line, please fill out a registration form at the skippers meeting. To be eligible to start, you must have paid the entry fee before the close of registration on Saturday, March 29.

Dockage

Free docking without power is available at the TYC dock.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The
organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death
sustained in conjunction with or before, during, or after the regatta.
